Latex isn’t the
right choice
for everyone.
Latex condoms are the most common type of condom, but latex isn’t the right choice for everyone.
The Public Health Agency of Canada notes that latex condoms can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in some people and identifies synthetic polymer and natural membrane condoms as alternatives for people with a latex allergy.
But the conversation goes beyond allergies. Different materials can offer different experiences when it comes to comfort, feel, fit and heat transfer — and having more options can help people find protection that works for them.
Why we created
Non-Latex Day
Many people simply don’t know what non-latex options are available or why they might choose them.
That’s why Pamco created Non-Latex Day: an awareness initiative dedicated to education, choice and helping people learn more about the different options available for safer sex.
Beyond Latex
Non-latex products are about more than allergies.
They’re about comfort, confidence and choice.
The goal is simple: increase awareness of the options available beyond latex and give people the information they need to make informed decisions about the protection that best fits their needs.
Comfort
Find what feels right for you.
Confidence
More options for different needs.
Choice
Safer sex isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Increase awareness
of non-latex condoms and other non-latex safer-sex products.
Help people understand
the different materials and options available.
Move the conversation
beyond latex allergies to include comfort, preference, feel and choice.
Give educators
information they can use to support informed decision-making.
Encourage people
to learn about their options and find the protection that works best.
Help make choice part
of the safer-sex conversation.
Use Non-Latex Day to educate your community about the options available beyond latex, share reliable sexual health information and help make choice part of the safer-sex conversation.
